Kate Townsend plays piano, piano accordion, ukulele and sings. She has been musical director and pianist for theatre productions. An environmentalist, Kate was first attracted to Dave’s original music for its depth of insight into environmental issues.
Dave Clark plays banjo, guitar, concertina, harmonica, ukulele and sings. He has worked as a solo artist and also with many bands. He presents concerts in kindergartens and schools, has produced numerous albums and toured widely throughout Australia and overseas.
Dave & Kate play Australian bush music, Celtic, old tyme, popular & originals. They perform as a duo in kindergartens, retirement villages plus at weddings, parties, festivals & other functions, including bush dances with their band Rum 'n' Raspberry. The infectious vitality of Rum 'n' Raspberry will have you dancing about with their lively jigs & reels & leave you spell bound with their heart-wrenching ballads.
Dave & Kate present especially for seniors, concerts under the auspice of Tea & Damper. Generally with renowned story teller Tony Wight & Dave's gourmet damper, these traditionally happen in the beautiful garden gazebo at Clarendon, set midst the gum trees of the Onkaparinga River. The gazebo is suitable at any time of the year. Or Dave & Kate can bring the concert to your venue or home.
